Interview overview: Stuart H. Sorkin is the founder of The Business and Legal Advisors, a business consulting firm specializing in the design and implementation of strategic business plans for businesses to ensure a successful integration of the business and personal objectives of the owners and executives. As a former entrepreneur, CPA, and attorney licensed to practice in the District of Columbia with more than 35 years of experience.
Mr. Sorkin is the co-author of "Expensive Mistakes When Buying & Selling Companies...and How to Avoid Them in Your Deals." He has been working with clients in the auto body shop for more than 30 years. Mr. Sorkin has been a regular speaker at several different automobile collision shop industry groups on succession, growth and exit strategies for body shop, including NACE. In the past year, Mr. Sorkin has represented clients for sales of body shops to Gerber and Caliber, as well as, a number of other purchase and sales of transactions of body shops, including, inter-family family transfers. I have previously taught seminars at the annual NACE convention.
